Practical tips and strategies to support children and families beyond the school gate
This session is relevant to all leaders who are looking for ideas on how they can support their children and families even further.
One of the biggest challenges schools face is that of engaging parents or other adult caregivers meaningfully and consistently in their children’s learning. Despite this challenge, school leaders deeply desire that parents become more involved in their children’s education, as research clearly shows that there is a strong positive relationship between a pupil’s success in school and the level of engagement by his or her parents with the school. This session explores initiatives used by Weald Rise Primary School to engage with it's community and how partnership with other professionals has also helped us to bring out the best in our pupils.
