In this session we will explore the journey that Barnhill Community High School has gone through to improve outcomes for all pupils including disadvantaged students being in the top 10% of schools for progress consistently. The session will be led by Mehul Shah, the Deputy Headteacher for Curriculum, and Nelma Monteiro, the Assistant Headteacher overseeing outcomes and Pupil Premium provision. Topics covered will include:
- Systems and processes for raising attainment at Key Stage 4
- Developing resilient and motivated pupils in a disadvantaged context
- Classroom expectations and techniques to support all pupils, in particular disadvantaged pupils
- How online learning has been set up to be accessible and engaging for all pupils.
