“Mary Rose Academy are providing sustainable pathways of employment, through training and practical learning in the workplace for all abilities.”

This Sharing Leading Practice webinar focuses on Mary Rose Academy’s passion and drive to ensure all young people are successfully prepared for ‘Life Beyond Mary Rose Academy’ by providing them with the vital skills to equip them to make informed choices about their future. The young person’s voice has been key to make the curriculum a success, ensuring they are ‘heard’ from their EHCP to the classroom.

In line with the school vision for ensuring that all pupils are provided with a wide range of learning opportunities to fulfil their potential, the school devised a Preparation for Adulthood course in 2017, that provides a creative and innovative approach to Post 16 learning and development.

During this webinar, you will have the opportunity to:

Learn about the school’s journey to see how the curriculum has been designed and personalised for each young person. Observe the young people at work and hear the impact of their time at Mary Rose. Consider how you might adapt the practice you have seen to fit your own context.

We welcome you back to see first-hand Mary Rose Academy’s exceptional Post 16 provision, when visits to the school are possible. A Sharing Leading Practice Day session (face-to-face event) is provisionally scheduled for 10/02/21.
