Our Sharing Leading Practice Day on the Codification of Teaching and Learning and Incremental Coaching is aimed at Teaching and Learning leads at both Primary and Secondary school.

We have set out in 'How we teach at Heartlands' our expectations for teaching based on effective practice built over time. We introduced the Incremental Coaching programme to help all teachers get even better. Previous attendees have found the day really useful.

Shalina Patel, Teaching and Learning Lead at Claremont High School in Wembley @Ms_PatelHistory fed back:

‘It was really helpful to see how a very clear understanding of what great teaching looks like, that is widely understood across the school is vital to the success of incremental coaching and helps ensure that everyone being coached has a similar experience'

There is such a clear rationale behind the codifying of Teaching and Learning which feeds into the shared language we saw in action. It was so useful to hear about the journey too and what changes have been made in order to make this work. The learning walks were excellent and the opportunity to talk to a range of staff involved at different levels was great.

Our teaching and learning handle is: @TLHeartlands and our school one @HHSHaringey
