We run programmes to ensure all children benefit from an excellent education. With school budgets stretched we offer additional support to children who need us most. We keep our costs low and our programmes are grounded in evidence of what works and regular quality assurance.

£100 can help support a disadvantaged child to catch-up at school by helping us extend our targeted support programmes.

£10 pays for resources to share evidence of what works to close the disadvantage gap.

Funded projects

We worked on the Department for Education-funded Knowsley Strategic School Improvement Fund project, which aimed to raise literacy standards in 29 primary and secondary schools in an area with exceptionally high levels of disadvantage. Deploying experienced headteachers/CEOs to advise and coach school leaders led to an 'extremely positive impact', evaluated by Manchester Metropolitan University. Read details here.

We worked with Hounslow Language Service and Lampton School to support EAL (English as an Additional Language) pupils in mainstream secondary schools across the country, by building teachers' expertise. The programme was funded by the Education Endowment Foundation, The Bell Foundation and Unbound Philanthropy, and delivered by Challenge Partners. An external evaluation report will be published shortly.

Future programmes

We are seeking support to extend our targeted programme to help close the attainment gap for disadvantaged pupils, Excellence for Everyone, and to develop our digital knowledge exchange, so we can share great practice from Dorset to Doncaster in innovative ways.
